This exhibition is sponsored by our good friends at Twogether Studio and Cat Head Press.

We celebrate Gen Con with a pop up exhibition featuring artwork inspired by gaming culture. The world of card and board games, sci-fi and pop culture icons like Star Wars are explored by artists: Gabriel Dishaw, Austin Falls, Mab Graves, Jason Lahr and Jason S. Cavan Deathbot Manufacturing. The exhibition features original artwork by Carson Ellis, known for her children’s book illustrations and artwork for the band, The Decemberists.

This exhibition is in conjunction with the Gen Con debut of Illimat. Illimat is a card game inspired by a game board created by Carson Ellis & Autumn DeWilde as a prop for a photoshoot for the band The Decemberists. As the band started playing more games on the road, they reached out to game designer Keith Baker to bring the prop to life as an actual game.
Illimat has the style and flavor of a classic card game with a dynamic twist. As you play, you combine cards and collect them, trying to gather more than your opponents. But hidden Luminaries and changing seasons can alter your plans. The game features a cloth board, metal tokens and illustrations by Carson Ellis. If you’ve ever enjoyed Hearts, Bridge, Casino, or Gin, Illimat will feel both familiar and unlike anything you’ve ever played before.
