Entirely devoted to works created using multimedia technologies. The exposition has a large collection of photographs, video art, media installations, media performances.
Main areas of activity: photography and media art. The combination of these directions is not accidental, because photography is the first type of artistic creation with the direct use of technology. It will be interesting to explore them by visiting one of the excursions taking place here.
Usually there are three or four expositions: their projects and those invited. The viewer is offered not only modern works, but also the works of classic artists of the 20th century.
As for photography, such exhibitions are organically combined with displays of the most modern works. An educational program is timed to each exhibition: meetings with artists, lectures, excursions, master classes for children.
Catalogs are issued for each project. The publishing department of the museum is actively working on the creation of a variety of literature about art: thematic albums, exhibition catalogs, books about photographers and artists.
There is a separate educational project at the museum – the School of Photography and Multimedia. It trains contemporary artists in four areas: documentary photography, art photography, video art and multimedia. The training program is designed for three years. In short courses, everyone is taught to shoot, print and edit. There are specially designed courses for beginners and children.
