The author’s works organically combine the material traditional for Chinese art – rice paper – and the recognizable images of endless Dutch flower fields. Extraordinary three-dimensional paintings are assembled from paper flowers, painstakingly folded by hand and coated with a gradient method with acrylic or oil paints.
Each work of the author can be considered both a sculpture and a painting. The color variations that the artist manages to convey are fully revealed when the viewer begins to move relative to the works in space: the richness of the palette is amazing.
